Linden jumped out to an early lead over Swartz Creek and took home a 10-5 victory on Tuesday. The Eagles took the lead on a double by Corissa Widner which scored Kylee Mason who had singled to lead off. in the first inning. Swartz Creek scored three runs in the fifth inning, but the Eagles still managed to pull out the victory. Linden put up six runs in the second inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Cassie Most, a single by Kaitlyn Straub, a walk by Alivia McConnell, and a grand slam home run by Drew Kinney. Carly Frierdich was the winning pitcher for Linden. She allowed no earned runs on six hits over five innings, striking out five and walking zero. Linden tallied 12 hits. Kylee Mason and Frierdich each managed multiple hits for and Mason went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Eagles in hits. Frierdich was 2-2 with a walk.
